Snowboarding camera techniques?
im filming my first snowboarding videos and want to know any basic techniques for taking some killer videos
it looks good when you follow the rider or ride next to him but you must keep a steady shot. on rails stand close to the top and film downward. make sure you just have a variety of shots to keep the video interesting. ive seen kids climb trees for good shots its all about creativity.

I saw a video of a guy who, while boarding, held the camera ahead of him in his hand, filming his face. It was pretty cool to watch.

try getting one of those cameras that strap around your head or get a buddy to film it going down with you.

follow shots are good. (have someone follow you with the camera).
get a tripod so you dont have shaky shot when you are standing still.
multiple angles are cool too if you have two cameras. (position two cameras at different places and film the same thing. the edit a clip to show some of the trick, or all of it, from one angle, then show the trick again from a different angle).
other than that just make sure you get all of the person in the shot (dont cut off their head)

for park riding you wanna do some follow shots because for lines those are killer.
rails you want to get a fisheye and just stay stationary and follow the rider

Well you want to have a camera that has a good resolution and quality. You dont want to have camera which is really bad because then when you watch it, its not going to look as good.
Some things you can do, is have a tripod and mount wheels onto it and have some small pvc pipe which you can use as a track so you can move the camera side to side to haave a good shot. Also, following your buddy while hes riding (follow cam) is also a pretty good way. Just remember to not bump around too much.
