Alaska Backcountry Snowboarding

Four of us (plus 4 others and 2 guides) took an excursion with Chugach Powder Guides in one of their snowcats in the Alaskan backcountry (not too far from the Alyeska resort).
Our two guides, “Durney” and Kurt, were fantastic. In the whole group, all but two were snowboarders (and the two guides skied as well).
The footage was shot using my new helmet cam from V.I.O. pov. You can see the camera at helmetcameracentral.com . The quality of the footage this camera takes is amazing.

Great vid, it is my #1 favorite on YouTube. I ride Alyeska all the time but your video seals the deal for me on doing a trip with CPG. To make it even better they have a special deal on Tues. and Thurs. for the rest of the season. Since last weekend we have got over 40 inches of fresh at Girdwood. GLORY!

oh man this is a great video!! like it shows exactly what to expect while snow boarding. if only you showed some of your foot movement, but still, i loved it. i love snowboarding, it’s one of the best feelings you can get.

Man I need to learn …
Man I need to learn how to turn and stuff because I just bullet down and it’s not because I I want to, but because I don’t know how to. haha But yeah, I live in Anch. and I’ve never really taken advantage of its winters but this really inspires me to want to learn to snowboard more this winter. That’s a really nice cam, and really good footage you got there. Thanks for sharing!
